NSW Deployment - day 3

Hi everyone,

Back at Lismore LHQ this morning.  We've been out to one job so far this morning - a report of water coming into a house in Goonellabah (mostly caused by the fact that there was so much muck in the gutters that there was - literally - bracken fern growing in them). We cleaned the gutters as best we could, then laid a line of sandbags to protect the garage and recommended she speak to her landlord. Not sure how the lady of the house called us: she looked like she'd only just gotten out of bed.

The rain actually cleared overnight and we woke to blue skies with some cirrus clouds.  There are a lot of sheets of water around the place this morning - some of them maybe a couple of feet deep.  Clouds are now building up again and the briefing says more rain, and also that the rivers are still rising.  So, there may still be more jobs coming our way today. A lot of the jobs the local crews are going to seem to involve cars driven into flood water.

More developments as they come
